Safety Rules
Talking to strangers can be fun. These rules and tips help keep it that way. Breaking the community rules can lead to your access being paused.
Remember: you cannot know who is really on the other side. Gender is self-reported and not verified, and people can lie about anything. Stay in control of what you share.
Protect yourself
- Never share passwords, one-time codes or bank details. No real person in a chat needs them.
- Keep identifying details private: full name, phone number, home address, school, workplace, social media accounts and photos that show your face or location.
- Never send money, gift cards or cryptocurrency to someone you met here, whatever the story.
- Be careful with links and files. Do not open links that ask you to log in or download something.
- Moving to another app removes our safety tools. Think twice before continuing a conversation elsewhere.
- Meeting in person is risky. If you ever decide to, meet in a busy public place and tell someone you trust where you are going.
- You can leave at any time. You never owe a stranger an explanation — press End Chat or Next.
Community rules
By using the site you agree not to:
- use the site if you are under 18, or talk sexually with anyone who says they are under 18;
- harass, threaten, bully or intimidate anyone;
- send sexual content to someone who has not clearly agreed to it;
- post hate speech or attack people for their race, religion, nationality, gender, sexuality or disability;
- scam people, ask for money, or advertise and spam;
- share someone else's personal information without their permission;
- encourage violence, self-harm or anything illegal;
- use bots or automated tools, or try to disrupt or break the service.
Blocking and reporting
Use the Report button at the top of any chat. You can block the person, or block and report them. Either way the chat ends immediately and you will not be matched with that person again in this browser.
A report sends the last few messages of the chat to our moderators so they can review what happened. Reports are kept for 30 days. Accounts that receive several reports can be paused automatically.
If you are in danger
If someone threatens you or you believe someone is at risk of harm, leave the chat and contact your local emergency services. We cannot provide emergency help.
